Assist director of archives and special projects with cleaning exhibited objects on a weekly basis. Checking in-exhibit desiccant levels and researching other methods of dehumidifiers. Conducting data entry/editing for newly-acquired membership database. Have also been assisting with the preparation of an incoming temporary exhibit, and outgoing exhibit; Duties include moving paintings into storage, exhibit label writing and video editing.

Temporarily serving at a front desk administrative support capacity. Public-facing duties include admitting museum guests, overseeing merchandise and membership sales, and coordinating communications between museum-related inquiries and appropriate staff members. Administrative tasks vary from data entry related to membership information and financial reports via POS systems and processing over-the-phone payments, as well as incoming and outgoing mail. Works alongside security personnel in building admittance and coordinating meetings for both the Jewish Museum Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.

Developed and prepared take-home museum craft kits twice a month, as well as assisted educational curator during onsite and offsite field trips and local community events hosted at the museum. This involved facilitating programs, manning craft stations, and working alongside volunteer docents to assure ease of flow during high visitation hours and events. Saw to the development of a new educational program for future visitors that focuses on telling stories of less-heard communities, which will include interactive and lecture-style formats, as well as differently formatted goals and procedures depending on age group.

Worked as a historic military interpreter at Fort Mackinac in the Summer of 2018 and was promoted to lead historic interpreter in the Summer of 2019. Duties included conducting guided tours and historical demonstrations. Leadership position included training new staff and volunteers, overseeing daily programming, and developing a comprehensive inventory of historic clothing and interpretive equipment.

Saw to the completion of multiple projects under MSHP registrar. Included: scanning and digitization of over 2,000 glass plate negatives, antique photos, and post cards, as well as the processing of document collections and uploading data into MSHP database (ARGUS). Organized archival collections in mainland library at the Petersen Center. Assisted exhibit designer in creating mounts and polishing exhibit cases for new exhibits for both Colonial Michilimackinac and Fort Mackinac. Took part in the creation of video material for new audio-visual exhibits.

Interpreted Straits of Mackinac history, focused on the military presence on Mackinac Island in the latter part of the 19th century, as well as the early fur trade and buildup of Great Lakes tourism. Conducted daily programming via historical demonstrations, guided tours, and after-hours events to a wide variety of large audiences, ranging from elementary school groups to senior travel tours. Regularly encountered and served visitor groups in numbers as high as several hundred at a time. Consistently researched early Strait’s history, including local Native American presence and culture, as well as military music usage. Assisted in closing Fort Mackinac for the Winter, with organizing uniforms and accouterments, and cleaning up guide room.
