Led the conception and implementation of new designs for heating, air conditioning, fuel tank, and diesel exhaust fluid tank systems for multiple new bus and truck models.During a company wide axle supplier material shortage crisis, was part of a core team of engineers that worked to update thousands of customer orders with replacement parts and configurations to ensure that the emergency did not cause any manufacturing plant shutdowns. Took on a leadership role to relay solutions to a team of 6 engineers. Delegated work between the team of engineers that I managed to ensure all orders were updated as quickly as possible.Headed an investigation into customer complaints of leaking fuel tank caps. Upon review, adding a lead in to the thread in the fuel cap, as well as adjustments to the process for leak testing from the fuel tank supplier were employed to provide an immediate corrective action to prevent future damage.Used Unigraphics NX 3D modeling to develop and invent new fuel tank system for the new GM/Chevy Silverado medium duty truck. Utilized Teamcenter and CDMS to organize, approve, and document parts.Regularly interacted with suppliers to determine the most fiscal, best performing design, while ensuring timely delivery of all parts for project deadlines. Ensured supplier quality through the Production Part Approval Process.
