Accounting Lead Clerk at RASC (Regional Accounting Service Center)I held 2 jobs while at RASC, entering as a key clerk concurrently working 2 desks at once in the warehouse payables department before being promoted to a lead clerk in the freight department in 2012. In the freight AP team I was responsible for maintaining the workflow of freight payments for the entire Kroger enterprise including 15+ divisions and 34 MFG plants. Over the years I lead efforts in multiple areas to streamline/automate existing manual processes so that resources could be used more wisely. As a lead I had to know all aspects of the department so I could easily train new associates and help everything run more smoothly. I also participated in period-ending closing duties every 4 weeks so I am very familiar with managing stress levels to meet deadlines.

I was assigned to L1 Enrollment Services initially for 6 months as a billing specialist. When that assignment ended I moved to Seigenthaler Public Relations for a temporary data entry assignment for a few weeks. I then started at Kroger RASC in February of 2011 and was made a permanent employee in May. These experiences helped me develop general office skills as I entered the job market directly after graduating from Belmont in May of 2010.

At Infinity Cat I was in charge of filling orders and shipping off packages as well as preparing sales figures for my supervisor, co-owner Robert Ellis Orrall. I also dubbed tapes, painted/assembled cases/covers, and put together promo packages to send off to venues/labels for new releases by the bands on the label. This gave me valuable experience in how an independent record label is run.

As a clerk at Goodwill I accepted donations, sorted clothes/housewares, worked the register, and closed the store most nights. This gave me experience working in a retail environment.

At the ALPL I was a page, meaning I shelved books and retrieved items from the after hours book drop. This gave me organizational skills as wells as a working knowledge of the Dewey decimal system.
