Raised $5,000 through the Peace Corps Partnership Program grant by fundraising locally and internationally in order to establish the town’s first Sports Education Center on the school grounds, which now serves approximately 1,000 individuals within the community; Developed relationships with various school stakeholders, including the local United Way, elected officials and diverse volunteer groups; Elected as Volunteer Advisory Committee, with the responsibilities of mediating between fellow Peace Corps Volunteers and Peace Corps Staff in Manila; Organized an event in the main town in which a well-known Filipino reggae band played for approximately 200 people; Trained 30 Education Volunteers and their co-workers on Project Design Management alongside my work partner as well as 74 entering Peace Corps Volunteers on the Philippine culture, education system, and expectations of them as visitors in the country; Guided the Peace Corps Swearing-In Event as Master of Ceremonies at the U.S. Embassy, in which a group of 74 trainees were sworn in as official volunteers
