Throughout my ten years in higher education recruitment I’ve developed a skillset centered on relationship-based selling, while leaning on my ability to creatively break through the noise in order to ‘win.’ I’ve always looked at market research as an opportunity to adjust my own methods to ensure the institution’s visibility and used data to both make decisions as well as feed the confidence of my team. Institutional and personal goals drive my work and ultimately hold a team accountable, but I have come to realize it’s the intentional celebration of achieving them that sustains a team and organization. The Admissions Office must be the tide to lift all the boats. I am a bridge builder by nature, so this means I want to have a shared vision with current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community. Our shared work as an office to equip one another and all of these partners to confidently sell SAU will ultimately lead to repeatable and even scalable success.-We are currently running with a six year high on deposits and a 7 year high on applications for fall semester.-Leveraging new tech, shoutout to Goodkind, to connect with students by sending personalized videos via SMS and email.-Weekly meetings with enrollment and marketing leadership to ensure we are doing what we said we would do...push growth!-Our team has doubled down on student to student engagement and increased our student staff by more than 60%...current investors talking with future investors!-Creating opportunities for growth in teammates and empowering them to ask for more.

As the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions I had the privilege of working alongside a team that was by driven by a lofty mission. Are we perfect? No. However, it’s the posture and the mindset that each task should reflect our belief and commitment to what we signed up for. This compelled us to do better work.My primary responsibilities were ensuring that we present ourselves authentically to those that we had the pleasure of interacting with on a daily basis. Space and place matter, but I am a firm believer in being aware of how our service makes someone feel. Ultimately, this feeling is what will bring someone back to engage with you again. Is our texting platform operating in a way that moves relationships forward? How dynamic is our response from a click on social? All of these things afford me the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of team members. The Wheaton Admissions team is truly amazing! I take it as a personal responsibility to ensure the customer is connected to their desired resource, that they feel known, and they are eager to learn more about our 'why' and share their own.
