I started as an advocate working with victims and survivors of domestic violence in our emergency shelter. I then moved into the outreach department of our organization where I double as the Primary Prevention Coordinator and an Outreach Advocate. In the prevention position, I speak at all the schools throughout the county about healthy relationships and teen dating violence. I am now extremely skilled at public speaking, communicating with organizations all over the county, and working with children and families.

NextGen Climate is a climate change organization focused on making changes for our environment through the political process. During my internship I was in charge of recruiting volunteers, planning events, data entry, getting signatures on petitions, and building community relations. This internship required a lot of communication and customer service skills in order to succeed, along with roughly 20-25 hours of dedication a week.
