I use my art to instantiate the opportunity for peoples' experience, exploration, discovery, active experimentation, joy, and insight. My art aims to grip the viewer and inspire she or he to seek their own unique discoveries in each image. The pieces present deep opportunities for visual serendipity. Each artwork captures an experimental result. The viewer's unique encounter and seeking completes this experiment.My art, music, experiential toolmaking, reflect long time concerns—derived from my personal culture and experience—that are woven into everything I engage and play around with. What makes people tick? Possible answers converge in my playful outlook. I am a: creative person, visual artist, improvisor/composer, and, a wandering lifelong learner and unlearner. My independent research focused on (1) serendipity in adult development, (2) deep dyadic relationship as a site of transformative learning, (3) understanding 2nd and 3rd human systems Gregory Bateson, Carl G. Jung, William James, Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī, Thelonious Monk, Pauline Oliveros, are the key luminaries who have inspired my transdisciplinary perspective.
