Data Manager - Indirect Tax Recovery Team
Current● Lead a team to conduct data quality assessments of model input data, making sure data is complete, accurate and well balanced. Implement ongoing monitoring using machine learning techniques and generate alerts if there is any data loading concern.● Heavily involve in communication with external client’s departments including IT department, financial department, and operation department to guide them deliver correct data through either front end or back end of their ERP system (Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, NetSuite, JD Edward, Great Plains). ● Provide final decision and guidance for all external data loading, data transformation and data cleaning. Guide internal team developing ETL solutions to process external client data, making it suitable for integration with our tax audit modules.● Review team’s queries and procedures (SQL, Excel VBA, VBS, Python), and provide recommendations and guidance to make sure the ending result is accurate and meets business requirements.● Develop new data cleansing strategies by Excel VBA or VB Scripts to analyze and assess any missing data values, removing irrelevant or redundant data, removing outliers, and resolving missing data to ensure more consistent and organized information is stored in the data warehouse. ● Present model performance reports to senior executives, identifying issues and potential gaps in existing tax audit modules and optimizing the modules to suit various clients’ business cases.● Lead a team to provide Ad-hoc data analysis and calculations to internal stakeholders for customized tax audit services.● Establish an end-to-end data management function from the ground up, building a high-performing team responsible for data procurement & client management, data advisory, data quality monitoring & operations, and data governance.● Create Stored procedures, User defined functions, SQL scripting using complex joins, sub queries, window functions, cursors, CTEs for complex business reporting.
