Planned and led ‘D’, ‘C’, ‘B’, and ‘A’ checks as the Shop Foreman between operational C-130 DOD contracts, maintained better than 99% contract completion rate. Guided people toward common goals through positive reinforcement. Cultivated an attentive work ethic that drew talented outside personnel for hire. Directed the structures modification team as the Project Leader in the development, fabrication and installation of a marine oil dispersant aerial delivery system for the C-130A. The new system design incorporated the Aero Union RADS system adding a pump pallet, plumbing and two fifteen-foot booms. Design saved millions of dollars over the commercial design and was pivotal in the 2010 Gulf of Mexico BP spill. Restored a C-130A airtanker as the Project Leader after years of storage. The heavy PDM/restoration included an airframe inspections/repair, engine inspections/repair, instrument panel redesign and avionics upgrade. In addition the cargo compartment slurry tank was removed and the cargo compartment was returned back to the OEM configuration. Coordinated numerous complex NDIs with the outside vendor on the aging C-130A aircraft as part of the progressive inspection program.Performed C-130 Flight Engineer duties for various company contracts including the Department of Defense HAHO/HALO CDS and parachute extraction cargo drops and troop free-fall and static-line drops. Performed as a loadmaster for the movement of company and contract equipment. Troubleshot systems when AOG, as an all-systems expert to locate and fix the problem in order to meet the contract/mission timelines. Moved the aircraft as a taxi pilot to perform low and high power maintenance engine, checks as an engine ground operator. Functional check flight and test flight engineer ran inflight profiles in order to test new oil dispersant system modifications. Collaborated with the flight crew to write and publish the flight limits and mission profile checklists.
