Fully Instrumented Wind Tunnel• Designed and set up a 6 meters long, low Reynolds number, fully instrumented wind tunnel system.• Controlled 3-phase AC motor speed by using variable frequency drive (VFD). Connected to MATLAB through a control circuit and Arduino microprocessor. 5. Airborne Wind Energy (AWE) System Project• Analyzed the airship flight aerodynamic. Research the 6-DOF modeling of the airship in MATLAB and Simulink. • Design the airship flight dynamic using multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) quantitative feedback theory.• Simulated the airship longitudinal and lateral motion control in Simulink S-function.

• Designed an advanced control strategy to stabilize the Green Bank Telescope (GBT) sub-reflector on the feed-arm. • Reduced the radio telescope pointing error (less than RMS 5 arc-second) by using sensor fusion method (optical telescope CCD camera, inclinometer, accelerometer and quadrant detector).• Controlled the Stewart platform to improve the GBT high frequency (above 100 GHz) observation pointing performance in windy conditions.
