Premier Field Engineers (PFE) serve as deep technical advisors retaining customers (Enterprise, Government, Education, Commercial ISVs, etc. ) and delivering unique value by supporting and increasing the consumption and productivity of acquired and/ or deployed Microsoft technologies.Core responsibilities including but not limited to:• Participate in proactive account management, planning and strategy for targeted accounts to circumvent roadblocks to solutions.• Use experience and knowledge along with communication from internal groups to spot trends in performance issues and take appropriate action.• Using trace analysis, debug skills, source code, or other proprietary tools, to analyze problems and develop solutions to meet customer needs; this may involve writing scripts or code using a programming language or scripting engine. • Manage crisis saturations that may involve technically challenging issues and diverse audiences. • Work effectively in cross-group situations and drive towards integration-oriented solutions• Participate as a Virtual Team Member with the EPG and Account Team partners to develop the Services Delivery Plan and Forecasting.• Participate in virtual account team business planning activity by informing the account team of relevant developments with the customer, ensuring activities align (where appropriate) with virtual account team strategy.• Provide feedback to internal technical specialty groups and representatives on behalf of their assigned customer(s) to ensure that MS Products contain enhanced serviceability, interoperability and improved quality.
