About Faheem Akhtar

I would like to introduce myself as an upbeat and educated professional with extensive managerial experience. I am a young professional “Project Specialist” and had done lots of critical tasks and paid my extra ordinary efforts in both development and educational sectors. I started my professional career as an internee at RAHNUMA-Family Planning Association of Pakistan (FPAP), Lahore and secured my very first paid work in remote area of South during 2010 flood emergency and promoted in other Gender Based Violence project. And provided my services as project lead in different projects funded by UNFPA and Care International. I have an active and dynamic approach to work and get things done during this tenure. After the closure of these projects, I moved to capital city of Pakistan and pursued my professional career as Program Manager at St. Thomas C.B.R. Projects, Islamabad funded by German Donner Kinder Not Hilfe (KNH) where I had worked on the 4 different dynamics (Differentlyable Children, Community Development, Women Health and Basic Education) in slums areas of Islamabad. In the meanwhile, I continued my education and started my MPhil study in the field if International Development Studies (IDS) from IQRA University Islamabad Campus but due to my research work I quit my job and completed my degree. I also served as Data Analyst at Management System International (MSI) during my MPhil research work which was very exclusive research experience in the area of Qualitative Research.After completion of my MPhil Degree, I got an opportunity in Hashoo Foundation, Islamabad as Enterprise Development Officer which was very challenging for me to show my expertise. The role at Hashoo Foundation, I was responsible for monitoring interconnected projects, formulating strategies, and defining project objectives. I also assisted my Line Managers while developing deadlines and budgets maximized returns on investment. As an experienced Project Specialist, I have a deep understanding of project management methods. The most interesting thing of my professional career is to carry on my education with the job and secured my PhD admission in the field of Gender Studies at University of the Punjab, Lahore.As you can see, I have extensive work experience in office environments in development sectors, that is giving me varied skills and the ability to work with different kinds of people. I have an interest in working for your office and would appreciate being considered as a candidate for employment. I believe I could fit easily into any environment.
