About Farhad Ahmed
A full-stack software engineer who has been in tech since 2015. Over the last 9 years I've been a Solutions Engineer, a coding bootcamp instructor, got to work on Comcast's platform that handles ingestion and publishing of media content, worked on American Family Insurance's API for generating quotes, and even got to build an app for Roku. Currently I run two startups. The first is Lift Bro, a social networking app for finding gym buddies. As a founder and lead software engineer I'm hiring and managing engineers, I designed and implemented the APIs and the databases they connect to, and have had to learn how to move quickly and fail fast.The second startup is Ahmed Tech Academy, a coding school where I teach Web Development and Java along with Spring Boot and AWS -- ours is one of the few coding schools that incorporate lessons on AI as part of all course curriculums rather than a separate add-on. Along with teaching, I create curriculums, work with instructors to ensure classes run smoothly, and I work with software engineers to keep our website looking clean and user-friendly.
