Provided leadership and technical expertise to the help desk and infrastructure teams. Duties included managing the network infrastructure and services, automating business processes, and providing assistance to the help desk. Analyzed and resolved issues with disaster recovery, including insuring the proper data was restorable, data was securely stored, and creating procedures for recovery. Responsible for coordinating with external partners to resolve problems in automated processes, hosting, or connectivity.

Responsibilities included data integrity, security, and connectivity. Solely configured and maintained all workstations and development servers, operating systems included Windows 2000/2003/XP, while providing a stable, virus free computing environment. This included performing maintainence and other administrative tasks for Exchange, MS SQL, and IIS/Apache. Automated network-wide tasks including log monitoring, software installation, and performance logging in VBScript using WMI, ADSI, ADO, and MySQL. Designed and implemented network configuration for the corporate headquarters, worked with hosting partners on the network design for the Horizons server network. Utilized advanced network technologies such as Jumbo Frames, TCP Window Scaling, Path MTU Detection, and Selective ACK in order to increase overall network performance. Provided site to site and client to site virtual private networks and remote administration methods to control over 260 servers remotely.

Migrated to a Windows 2000 based environment. Resolved issues concerning software licensing. Coordinated the purchasing of hardware and software. Organized the moving of all office equipment due to a change of location. Solved network issues.

Setup and maintained a heterogeneous network comprising of Irix, Linux, MacOS, and Windows NT 4.0. Handled all user management for the NT Lab. Integrated logons between Irix, Linux, and Windows NT. Configured intranet services such as DNS, DHCP, FTP, HTTP, and NetMeeting. Setup network rendering for 3DS Max, Lightwave, and Softimage. Maintained all software and hardware in a server-client environment.
