• Spurred the creation of a new group to develop Lexmark’s standards strategy and then successfully recruited a team of four highly experienced and independent employees to execute that strategy resulting in a proactive.

• Managed multiple teams of approximately 40 engineers and programmers that:
• Developed strategic relationships with software and hardware partners including Microsoft, Novell and others resulting in better integration with Lexmark’s products.
• Provided OEM engineering support for Dell, IBM and Toshiba versions of Lexmark printers ($100,000,000+), and
• Led Lexmark's participation in standardization activities including the IEEE, ANSI, W3C and othersAs a part of the position’s responsibilities, increased Lexmark’s leadership role in the governance of standards setting.

Envisioned and the drove to completion the various connectivity products for printers including mainframe, personal computer and local area network connectivity. Envisioned and then managed the development of industry-leading Local Area Network printer connectivity products as well as mainframe and controller attached printers resulting in highly competitive connectivity solutions.
