I completed my training at international law firm Eversheds and undertook rotations in four departments during this time, namely employment, litigation, commercial and property.

Before commencement of my traineeship, I held the position of legal assistant within the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse under the leadership of Mr Justice Sean Ryan. My main responsibilities included management of complainant and solicitor files, correspondence work, retrieval and preparation of large amounts of documentation. I was also involved in the analysis of a significant amount of legal discovery, complainant transcripts and interviews which culminated in my drafting of a specific section of the report. Following the publication of the Commission’s Report, I was assigned responsibility for its distribution to certain victim support groups and Government departments. This involved liaising with these groups and departments, assessing their requirements, preparing large numbers of reports and delivering the reports within a strict timeframe.

I have completed an Internship within this corporate sector legal firm assisting in litigation department. During this time I worked primarily for one Partner and was involved in working on a high profile Commercial Court case. My daily tasks included document management, compiling files, attending client meetings, legal research and watching briefs.
