Participated in Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) research group that:Identifies and studies risk factors and their mechanisms in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) by focusing on the relationship between late life depression, type 2 diabetes, and AD.Has established a homebound elderly population in the Boston area and performs evaluations of their cognition, psychiatric, and neurological conditions.Investigates the brain’s regulation of emotion, obesity/diabetes, and cognition in AD pathogenesis which will help to develop new treatments for the intervention and early treatment of AD.Contacted participants to set up interview meetings to determine approach to administering tests and schedule blood draws when needed.Administered TICS (Telephone Interview for Cognitive Status) telephone interviews to assess participant’s general cognitive status. Conducted house visits to homebound elder participants and administered a full two hour battery of tests designed to assess in depth cognitive status.Organized and compiled test results and presented them to Dr. Qiu for further analysis.
