Profile bio

About Fernando Jacinto

During my college career, I had Internships within Aerospace with a Company in California. I went from creating files that calculated assemblies' Center of Gravity based on material updates to creating visuals to assist new technicians on how to properly install hydraulic testing equipment. I then took a semester off school after I recieved the opportunity to work with a Diesel Engine Company out in Indiana. I was so excited to have the opportunity to speak with the V8 Diesel Engine Final Test Engineer and pick his brain that I was apointed POC for the creation of a test tool. This tool would compare all important test parameters from your engine of interest against all engines that met passing requirements, which meant I would spend a lot more time geeking out with the Test Engineer. Sadly, the 1st draft of the tool was created, my intership came to an end, and back to school I went.2018 marked my gradution, and am now full time back in Aerospace working with the Liaison Team in California. Although I'm not supporting cars, I find it interesting figuring out how to repair defective parts to meet blue print standards for airplanes. You may be wondering why I didnt take the offer back in Indiana as I seemed yo really enjoy it. Well, I had become the proud owner of a motorycle and enjoyed riding so much that Indiana's winter weather would limit my yearly riding time. Yes, my motorcycle helped me decide where I wanted to stay. But wait, there's more...In 2019, I had an unfortunate motorcycle accident that led to 2 life changing events. 1) me having to say Good Bye to Selene (my motorcycle) and 2) saying Hello to my new Best friend, who I could always stand on, Timmy(prosthetic leg). Instead of shock and depression, I couldnt stop trying to figure out how this leg worked. At the same time, I was trying to figure out how I could get back to driving. i did such an awesome job that I am now in the process of getting a motorcycle again and figuring out any modifications needed to allow me to shift gears. Life has been a roller coaster, but has brought more curiosity in learning how things work. I want to apply my acquired knowledge and experiences to help create the next new best thing and/or find room for improvements. I dont know about you, but im ready to start a new chapter in my life driven by new inspirations. As I always say, "Take It One Step at a Time! Literally". Look forward to meeting you!
