I love finding solutions to difficult problems. After five years in the energy industry honing my skills as an astute researcher and insightful analyst, I seek a role that examines the geopolitics of climate change. My ultimate career goal is to work as a data scientist for a progressive policy think tank fostering equitable solutions to complex social problems.My greatest strengths are my perseverance and resourcefulness. Key examples include:• Self-taught Tableau, Alteryx, Python and R skills on the job. Started as a novice and quickly ramped up to an intermediate to advanced user creating increasingly sophisticated visual analytics for client reporting and presentations.• To streamline the field audit process, I developed a metrics reporting dashboards to track solar installation audits in real time, showing progress and trends of key metrics like % to target, month over month progress, and numbers of audits completed per month.• To target outreach efforts for widespread adoption of energy efficient new homes, I utilized publicly available Census data, utility shapefiles, third party data, and construction permit databases to assess the housing stock profile and proximity of top 5 builders and residential subcontractors to customers within a geographic area: Performed data blending in Alteryx, developed shapefile in QGIS, and exported to visualize in Tableau. I would describe myself as a passionately curious individual who is always seeking personal growth and new learning opportunities. In my free time, I enjoy backpacking, hiking, competitive running, environmental volunteerism, and community action.
