I lead RSPB's policy and advocacy engagement with the UN Convention on Biological Diversity, working to deliver the effective implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. I am also RSPB's policy lead for our work with partners in West Africa.

My role has a focus on European policy, and I am working to deliver action for nature across Europe, working very closely with our partners in BirdLife Europe and Central Asia. I am building connections between UK and EU colleagues and policies, and advocating for ambitious progress for nature, climate and people.I have a particular focus on the EU REACH proposal to restrict the use of lead in ammunition for hunting and sports shooting, and in fishing weights.

My work spans international biodiversity and climate policy, and involves advocacy and strategy development in collaboration with teams across the RSPB, BirdLife International and other international NGOs to raise global ambition for strong multilateral environmental agreements, especially with relation to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and UNFCCC. I currently have a particular focus on the development of the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework, to be agreed at the CBD COP15.Key themes of my work include connecting the global with the local, holding the UK Government accountable for taking action to meet its commitments, and promoting high quality nature-based solutions that deliver for nature, climate and people.
