The Branch Manager is a key role in supporting & executing the AIB vision. The focus is to lead, coach/empower the team to maintain and grow business & income, develop & nurture talent, maximise use of digital intelligence and direct enablement to create capacity for customer engagements. Principle accountabilities & responsibilities include;- Lead, manage, motivate and develop a high performing team with responsibility for delivery of key sales targets, people management metrics, risk management metrics and customer experience scores.- Ensure the branch operates in a compliant manner in accordance with all legislative and audit requirements, and that operational risks are minimised.- Lead and motivate the team in maintaining a committed, skilled and engaged staff, foster a culture of open communication/staff engagement by ensuring that all staff are fully briefed and understand the key business priorities.- Provide customer service leadership, drive productivity, efficiency, capacity creation and service excellence within the branch, with primary focus on ensuring accuracy of information and speed of delivery in order to provide exceptional customer experiences.- Develop and maintain close contact with key business introducers internally and externally, identifying and referring business opportunities. - Think holistically & strategically with a proven ability to plan, organise & manage a team, work collaboratively with product partners & business pillars to deliver business plans. - Develop a culture of accountability and ownership where the sharing of learning & growth opportunities are actively encouraged and promoted.

- Oversee and monitor the activities of the South Down Business Centre, providing a leading role in ensuring the team achieves its overall financial plan by the leveraging of all opportunity from the portfolio and local market place.- Managing and developing a complex portfolio of key customers across a number of industries throughout Co Down & Co Armagh. My skills and capabilities include relationship skills, sector, industry and market expertise focused on strategy, service, value add, efficiency, performance and portfolio management.The skills & experience required for my role include;- A significant proven level of credit experience including a leading role in deal negotiation, credit application preparation, presentation to Credit Committee and fulfilment.- Strong customer relationship management experience to include commercial negotiation, portfolio management, risk management and customer and business development.- Proven ability to build and develop strong and collaborative relationships – both internally and externally. - Proven track record of managing and delivering stretching targets – including new business acquisition. - A detailed knowledge of AIB Policies, Procedures and Regulatory Requirements.

I was part of the Acquisitions team in First Trust Corporate and Business Banking with responsibility for working with business customers and securing new to Bank business across the full range of business sectors in Northern Ireland.My role involved supporting new & existing customers and our network of business centres & branches in fulfilling customers credit & lending requirements. I also linked with other business professionals & industry stakeholders to raise the profile of First Trust Bank and highlighted the various ways we support economic growth in the local towns and cities across the country.
