OCP produces and shares knowledge about cities and ports. This knowledge platform involves research, teaching and community projects. The group promotes reflections on the connections between cities and ports from a multidisciplinary perspective since 2013. Since December 2020 it is associated with the Social Communication Department at Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES). From 2013 to December 2020 it was linked to the Vila Velha University UVV-ES including the Bachelor in International Relations, Port Management Diploma, Master in Political Sociology and Master in Architecture and Cities. It is financed by FAPES and supported by UFES, Codesa / Porto de Vitória, Intersindical Portuária, NGO Voz da Natureza and Leonel Albuquerque Fotografia Areas.
