I currently work for SLR Consulting as a Water Resources Engineer in the Surface Water team. My responsibilities involve addressing various flooding and water resources issues spanning the sectors of mining, renewables, infrastructure, and urban development. Some of the services I provide include:- Hydrologic and hydraulic modelling (1D, 1/2D and 2D);- Flood assessment and mitigation;- Mine water management;- Stormwater management and water quality modelling;- Dam break analysis and consequence category assessment;- Scour analysis;- Climate change adaptation and extreme events preparedness;- Watershed analysis and flood mapping.

As part of the Integrated Stormwater Management team, I delivered multiple projects in hydrology, flood modelling, and water quality for government and private clients in urban and rural settings. My tasks included, but were not limited to:- Undertake hydrological and hydraulic modelling to assess flood impacts and support development applications;- Carry out drainage studies to find suitable flood mitigation solutions;- Conduct water quality modelling and design conceptual WSUD assets to assist stormwater management plans;- Perform dam break modelling and consequence category assessments for retarding basins;- GIS analysis, data processing, and production of flood maps.
