The Pipeline Production Department is responsible for the preparation of all offshore welding, non-destructive testing and field joint coating. The Production Engineer is the intermediary between all pipeline production disciplines and provides input to the Proposals Management Department and project teams. The Production Engineer reports directly to the Department Head Pipeline Production.

As co-founder of the Dutch Energy Club I was involved in setting up and managing a by-students-for-students organisation based in Utrecht. This involved actively seeking out a student based to take part in events, organising events and ensuring funding for the organisation. Before leaving university and moving on to a fulltime position the Dutch Energy Club had developed a solid member base and organised several successful events.

Researching the role of Research and Technology Organizations within industry in four European countries.

PanTerra Geoconsultants is a geoscience consultancy group providing services to the upstream Oil & Gas industry which specialises in analysing the geology and the properties of oil and gas reservoirs.Working in the Laboratory Services department I primarily worked in the lab to determine reservoir properties and to provide accurate input for a geological model using core samples taken from reservoirs and test sites.

The purpose of the internship was to do research for my bachelor thesis. During this period I have worked on an ongoing research project for enhancing the performance of water flooding and as such increasing oil production from previously uneconomical fields.

This was a general internship as part of the curriculum. During this period I have been part of a team working on a ongoing research and development project producing swelling rubbers for enhancing oil production in cases of water breakthrough.
