Fox Consulting, LLC is focused on offering both expertise in DOCSIS at all levels, as well as application of many years of professional engineering experience to new projects, such as smartphone indoor mapping applications for businesses such as grocery stores, retail stores, and anyone else who needs to dynamically create a map of their indoor space under the brand of "InMap".Fox Consulting provides expertise based on 15 years of experience in the cable industry. Our expertise includes: DOCSIS architecture, including participation in the CableLabs standards for DOCSIS 3.0, DOCSIS 3.1, and Remote PHY; development of the first bonding Cable Modem; development of a TDMA burst receiver; and development of Remote PHY nodes.Fox Consulting will soon be releasing a new indoor mapping application under the brand of "InMap" that offers a brand new way to easily create accurate maps of indoor spaces on a smartphone. Our solution allows the user to dynamically input size and distance measurements into the application in order to interactively generate a map while taking measurements. Once the initial map is created, the map can be easily modified on the smartphone as either product locations or display locations change.

* Worked on the design and architecture of "feeder" ASICs for Cisco's ASR1000 mid-range platform.* Architected and designed the LinkSys WCM300 8-channel DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem, the world's fastest cable modem.* Key participant in architecture of early Cisco DOCSIS wideband architecture which eventually evolved into the CableLabs DOCSIS 3.0 specification.* Key participant in architecture of Cisco's "remote PHY" architecture which initially allowed DOCSIS wideband traffic to be carried over "off-the-shelf" edge QAMs, and eventually traditional "narrowband" traffic to be carried over DTI connected edge QAMs.* Architected patented scheme for synchronizing remote upstream and downstream DOCSIS channels via GPS.* Implemented Vera testbenches for a DOCSIS 2.0 FPGA.

* Worked on the design of a command processing unit for a "feeder" ASIC which supported a Cisco proprietary network processor.* Designed FPGA based packet processing logic.* Designed a patented high speed CRC algorithm.

* Lead hardware architect of S/390 OSA-3 ASIC based I/O network adapter.

* Lead hardware designer for the first S/390 integrated network adapters (including OSA-1, OSA2, and OSA-Express families)* Lead hardware designer for the first HSSI/T3 network adapter for NSFNET.* Designed a memory controller ASIC for a 3172 T3 adapter.* Sole designer for the "Base Logic" ASIC and card for the S/390 Sysplex Timer.
