About Francesca Gerwitz

In December of 2013 I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science with an emphasis in Equine Science and a minor in Agricultural Leadership from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Since graduating from college, I have spent a number of years working with animals and in scientific laboratories but my real passion in life comes from my own personal experiences. My immediate family is made up of many different races, ethnicities, abilities, and genders. My experiences have inspired my work in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. DE&I is something I am very passionate about as I have experienced many of the challenges individuals face when they are part of the various minority groups. In May of 2021 I completed the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from The University of South Florida – Muma College of Business and later in 2021 I became a DE&I Ambassador and Disability Co-Lead at Nestle-Purina. I recently completed my Ethical & Inclusive Leadership Certificate from The University of South Florida – Muma College of Business and continue to serve as a DE&I Ambassador and Disability Co-Lead.
