My research focuses on studying molecular mechanisms driving the development of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases in children by using human-patients derived intestinal epithelial organoids (hIEOs) as an in vitro model in order to identify new disease prognostic biomarkers. My PhD research focuses on the validation of an efficient siRNAs delivery system based on a functionalised polymer complexed with Galactose motifs (named PDPG), able to target specifically the Asialoglycoprotein receptor (ASGP-R), which is overexpressed on Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) cells. I evaluate the ability of the PDPG to deliver siRNAs against proliferative factors overexpressed in HCC cells (eEF1A1, eEF1A2 and E2F1) using both in vitro and in vivo approaches.
