January 2014 – Present CGG GeoConsulting Group.• Manage and coach team of 5 engineers to execute ~15 projects annually; team lead for all projects in Mexico and Central/South America working predominately in unconventional wells (tight sand, carbonate, conventional sand, offshore deep water, shale oil).• Applied integrated approaches using geochemistry, geomechanics, and geology to perform seismic analysis of several unconventional plays including Bakken, Three Forks, Woodford, Meramec, Spraberry, Wolfcamp.• Quantified and certified field reserves for Pemex by analyzing and correcting elastic properties from logs used in seismic inversions.• Identified production problems and reduced uncertainty in perforation interval selection in a mature carbonate field in Mexico by improving estimations of water saturation calculations.• Integrated petrophysics and rock physics to establish relationships between rock properties and elastic properties in an ultra-deepwater field. Enabled thorough understanding of vertical distribution of petrophysical properties and reduced uncertainty delineating lateral extensions.• Performed an integrated petrophysical evaluation for the Eocene, Cretaceous and Jurassic reservoirs located in PZ Kuwait, Middle East. Innovating permeability estimation for carbonated reservoirs by using machine learning techniques (Python).

• Mentored junior petrophysicists for seismic inversion projects.• Team leader for all Petrophysics and rock physics projects in Mexico. • Supported Petrobras Mexico as a consultant to help their field operation by evaluating new drilled wells, defining good practices, and select candidates for work-over, and by-passed pay. This field is an unconventional tight gas field with permeability in the nano-darcy values. The new petrophysical model contributed a reserve increase in more than 50%.• Worked for Pemex’s deep water team to help them quantified and certified the field reserves, by analyzing and correcting the elastic properties from the logs that were used in the seismic inversions.

• Mentored new petrophysicists for seismic inversion projects.• Supported the petrophysical team to deliver a specialized training to Pemex: Training name: Petrophysics and rock physics for seismic inversion project (4 months). The class had 6 students with six different data sets. • Worked with Pemex deep water team by doing a post-drill analysis of a deep-water exploration well in the Gulf of Mexico. • Worked with Petrobras characterization team in Mexico, evaluating different data sets from Pemex’s data room, to help them have an overview of several matures oil fields for new acquisition.• Analyzed all the production’s fields for Petrobras in Mexico, and helped them to optimized the hydraulic fracture job to increase gas production and cost reduction. Also, helped them propose exploration wells based on the seismic inversion results.• Worked the Spraberry formation in Midland Basin for a seismic inversion project. Did the petrophysical evaluation and rock physics modelling for the project wells, and related brittleness with elastic properties.

Worked on the petrophysical evaluation of a carbonate reservoir. The success of the project was related to the integration done with others disciplines that helped propose new drilling locations in a mature field. Tizon field, México.Worked on the petrophysical evaluation of a complex / low resistivity reservoir, and mentored junior professionals during the project execution. Mugrosa formation, La Rompida, Colombia.An integrated petrophysical evaluation in the Palermo – Santa Clara Field was performed to help characterized, rock properties, and flow capabilities of prospect reservoirs

• More than 10 projects were executed during this period. Different types of reservoir were evaluated, from light to heavy crude oil. My last position was in the heavy oil department.
