Frank Lyons is a jockey agent, on-air horse racing analyst, bloodstock agent and seasoned race-horse trainer. Frank splits his time between New York, Kentucky and Florida.Lyons worked for Circle O Farm and then for Jonabell Farm, in Kentucky, before branching out on his own to buy and train his own racehorses. In 1992, he relocated to Los Angeles to work as a trainer for Norfields Farm. During his tenure there, he became one of the youngest trainers to win the prestigious Breeders Cup Sprint Grand 1 with Desert Stormer. Leaving Norfields, he decided to make his own way as a public trainer, which he did successfully until 2003. In 1999, his TVG racing analyst career began, and he still loves this element of his job.As a bloodstock agent, he procured successful racehorses including Grade 1 winners Ariege, Frost Giant, Laughing, Tannery, Castledale, and Shining Energy. He co-owned the 2004 Santa Anita Derby winner Castledale. Lyons now operates Bracetown, LLC, through which he purchases racehorses throughout Europe and supports the European training system for young racehorses by racing them there as two-year olds.His love of horses began during his early childhood years in Ireland, where he began accompanying his mother to the races at age five. His determination to have a career in horses saw him through his teenage years and after completing his academic education, he went on to attend the Irish National Stud where he learned everything about the care and breeding of horses. While in Ireland, he also worked for prestigious horsemen like Dermot Weld and Frank Dunne.
