These responsibilities included the management of the I Love New York Matching Funds grant program through Empire State Development, crafting and implementing a cohesive marketing and branding campaign for Putnam County in order to attract out of county visitors in an effort to boost sales tax revenue, and acting as a conduit between tourism related industries and local government to maximize economic development. Along with the necessary responsibilities of operating a 501(c)(6) tourism promotional agency, responsibilities also included bringing the Visitors Bureau into compliance with New York State Not-for-Profit Law, including but not limited to creating a new set of operating by-laws, organizational policies and constituting a new Board of Directors.
