Seeking for new challenges I've started working for 4packaging. After managing the flexible packaging and the tobacco packaging pre-press departments for about a year I became responsible for the establishment and the integration of new production processes for embossing rollers. The position covers the implementation of required pre-press and production workflows for CNC milling and direct laser manufacturing processes. Further more establishment of QA procedures and customer services.

Shortly before the acquisition of Artwork Systems by Esko I became product manager for all pre-press editors. Together with the editors of Artwork System the anual turn around of my product portfolio became 22 million euros. Dynamically controlled copy content solutions became my obsession. Working for and together with global brand owners made this position very special and challenging.My responsibility covered home made and programmed solutions as well as the integration of externally developed solutions to be marketed and distributed as one. Very intense and satisfying working experience.

Family business drove me to Ghent in Belgium. Working for Esko-Graphics added a brand new field of experience to my professional live. Working in customer service for approx. 2 years. Great experience to work in an international team ensuring correct installation, maintenance and usage of complex graphic editors and pre-press workflow servers.

Munich Area, Germany

Working in the lovely area of Munich I became responsible for the management of the pre-press department of Fentsch Tiefdruckzylinder. Together with my colleagues we designed and performed the transition from film-based to Mac-based reproduction including hardware, infrastructure and workflow setup. The challenge was to train and build up operator skills as well as introducing new QA procedures and tools on one side as well as implementing new manufacturing devices such as Schepers Digilas indirect lasers. Keeping digitally engraved cylinders compatible to film-based existing cylinders was a must for a painless transition. Together we've served the rotogravure general packaging and tobacco packaging industry with high quality cylinders worldwide. At a later stage the cylinder portfolio was extended to CNC milled embossing cylinders to expand services for the tobacco packaging segment. Very exiting. Nice, driven and capable team! A great time!

Instructing Engraving equipment to numerous companies in Europe, Far- and Middle East.Supporting new entries, building up digital pre-press and electromechanical engraving from scratch. I've traveled 200 days a year and learned a lot. I am still in contact with many professionals.
