Provided design and system maintenance for complex prescription claim fulfillment systems serving a network of over 75,000 pharmacies and more than a million individual members. Penalties for system failure were up to $10,000 a minute.

• Project leader, systems analyst, and program designer for online systems.• Recognized need for a new report for a major payment system. On my own initiative designed, coded and implemented a series of new reports which resulted in saving one full person-month of effort per month for the user area affected.• Designed and coded a series of programs to emulate a DBMS scheduled for replacement. This allowed continued system operation without a need to make extensive modifications to programs heavily dependent on the logical organization of the database. This emulator was used in production for two years with no errors and no modifications before finally being replaced by a new DBMS.
