Global strategic role.Our vision is to contribute to the Global Healthcare agenda in which global donors (USAID, UK DFCO, DG ECHO, ...) are increasing their investment in capacity building and health systems strengthening. The global pandemic has highlighted the need for major investment and innovation in the provision of healthcare globally and International SOS is determined to make an impact through its broad range of delivery capabilities in the field of healthcare.My role was to design the commercial roadmap and to coordinate internally and externally the various engagements we are initiating in the domain of Global Health.

In this role which I initially took as a double-hat, I was asked to establish a new revenue stream for our government services division in Continental Europe by positioning our delivery capabilities (military health, medical supply, medical evacuation, medical intelligence, ...) as mission enabling solutions. Over a period of 6 years, we have been successful in being awarded several Framework contracts and have become a recognized mission enabler of several governmental EU agencies : EU Asylum Agency, European External Action Service, Frontex, European Defense Agency, DG International Partnerships, ICMPD for EU DG HOME, ...Outcome has been the set-up of a multi-million business leading to the establishment of a dedicated service delivery platform.

Official representative of our local branches in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy (250 employees).Shortly after I extended my general management remit to Switzerland and Italy, I managed successfully 2 years of pandemic crisis. As mobility was shut-down, we pivoted our solutions towards more actionable intelligence and pandemic consultancy to reflect new client needs. On the internal front, we developed various initiatives to maintain staff engagement level and quickly recognized the value of home office and flexible working, distilling trust and open communication.Outcome has been preserved revenues with even slight growth which outperformed all other regions.

Official representative (Geschäftsführer) of International SOS in Germany (150 employees)During this period of time I kept engaging externally with various clients, partners and professional associations to develop our solutions addressing the Duty of Care challenges raised by the mobility of the workforce. This also included Thought Leadership papers co-written and endorsed by recognized institutions in Germany and Austria.I also initiated HR and People development initiatives to share internally 1 common vision across departments.Outcome has been annual double-digits growth with optimal retention rates among our teams.
