Mr. Freeman currently serves as the Online Training and Technology Director for the U.S. Department of Education’s Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools Technical Assistance (REMS TA) Center. This five-year nationwide project was designed to support schools, school districts, and institutions of higher education in emergency management, including the development and implementation of comprehensive emergency and crisis response plans. He is responsible for the management of the REMS Online Training System which operates the School Emergency Management Course Series. Using web-conference technology, Mr. Freeman is responsible for the implementation of the center’s national webinar trainings. As the Technology Director, Mr. Freeman is responsible for the planning, management and implementation of REMS technology-based projects; including website development, online resource repository search system, database development, on-site audio-video conference management and multimedia production.
