Recently he was one… Show more Promotion - Announcement It is my pleasure to announce that Tom Freeman has been promoted to Principal Analyst in IT Infrastructure and Operations Engineering Team.Tom began working with El Paso in 1998 and provided general IT support in our Pipeline field locations in the south Texas region. In 2003, Tom transferred to the Data Center server team. Tom has been involved in various major projects including the Data Center move from San Antonio to Austin in 2006. Recently he was one of the key contributors to the success of the Austin Virtualization project. Tom is the only on-site IT support in our Austin Data Center which hosts about 400 servers and other IT systems. Tom has a Bachelor’s degree in Automated Manufacturing (Robotics) from ITT Technical Institute. Before joining El Paso, Tom had served in both the Air Force & US Army as a Field Medic, Antitank Gunner, Electronic Warfare tech and network/server administrator. Tom is a great asset to our team. He has been effectively and efficiently handled the majority of IT tasks plus some facility duties in our Austin Data Center in the past four years.
