Jeff is an "Idaho farm boy"​ at heart with IT, software, project management, accounting/finance, and real estate experience. He has been involved in various volunteer groups and sat on several boards for various organizations. Jeff was elected to the Ammon City Council and began his first term in January of 2024.Besides heavy involvement with his family, church, and the teenage boys he mentors, Jeff enjoys endurance running and has competed, organized, and volunteered in dozens of ultramarathon trail races. Some lessons learned are that persistent daily dedication, not relying on motivation that ebbs and flows with an emotional tide, is how goals are realized. Community is developed when we join in shared interests and seek common goals. Healthy conflict can lift team development and committed collaboration brings success.In 2008 Jeff sat on the board and helped to create and develop the Idaho Falls Young Professionals Network. In 2015 Jeff founded the Idaho Falls Trail Runners on Facebook that now boasts over 2,000 members. Through that group he has united a large community of runners and helps them to achieve their goals. Since 2017 has sat on the race board of directors for the world renowned Palisades Ultra Trail Series that sees runners come to Idaho to race from 30 different states and several other countries.Since 2020 has sat on the Idaho Trail And Ultra Series board that consists of Race Directors all over Idaho to help promote running and racing in Idaho.Since 2022 has been a race director for the Dizzy Horse Backyard Ultra.Since 2023 has sat on the board of directors for the newly created Snake River Trail Alliance, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing trail access to everyone in the Snake River community.Since 2024 has been elected to the Ammon City Council.
