They say Rocket Internet employees need to move fast and be sharp to grow the business. And that's what I need to do daily! Currently a sales rockstar in the company, delivering high daily targets and working with different departments to grow vendor's revenue. A typical day in foodpanda would be me prospecting vendors, then creating a targeted pitch to sign them. Every month, I also strive to bring in high value vendors that will benefit the business too. This role is the litmus test to the experience gathered in my last 2 years of sales in the tech industry, and never have I felt more satisfied pushing new limits every day while applying what I have learnt to grow FoodPanda.

I led a team of 7 members; juniors and seniors, and was tasked to generate 50 new accounts every month. I am required to mentor and support all members; developing their skills overtime to become successful in sales. As a Group Leader, my tasks were not limited to sales as there were different opportunities in Rakuten Malaysia. I was also involved in the development of sales department, creating sales materials, organizing seminars, maintaining merchant relationships, market analysis, negotiations between vendors, etc. Loving it!

As an executive in Edelman, I had the most fortunate opportunity to service several key accounts; Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU), eBay Malaysia, World Marketing Summit (M) Sdn Bhd, and Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS).Provided media analysis and counsel to clients. Also the social media community manager. Engaged bloggers, social influencers, and the media to provide coverage for events. Organized media luncheons to generate awareness as well.
