• Contributed to successful completion of customer ADP that achieved targeted fuel efficiency gain of 6% for DSF on an I4 ICE by traveling to China for 5 weeks, supporting two customer dynos, and training customer personnel.• Implemented in-car cylinder pressure measurement system using Optrand spark plug transducers connected to an NI cDAQ that led to detection of critical spark timing issues.• Involved in the measurement and mitigation of PM/PN to overcome major roadblock in DSF customer acceptance.• SME for DSF deactivation spring types and fault diagnosis.• Led testing and upgrade of demo vehicles from Delphi MT92.1-based to dSPACE-based. • Led vehicle instrumentation and part installation, calibration, troubleshooting in test vehicles. • Aided with vehicle testing and data analysis both internally and at certification facilities.• Part of dDSF team that worked with Cummins and other OEM and Tier 1 partners to significantly reduce NOx emissions in diesel engines with the benefit of CO2 reduction.• Led the Tula side of a successful joint application with Cummins for DOE funding to apply DSF to a heavy duty CNG engine.• Led internal dDSF research program at partner university.• Transitioned to EDU testing with no prior EDU knowledge and quickly learned about EDU principles of operation, instrumentation, testing, and analysis.• Measured first DMD gains on 15kW IM and SynRM EDU dyno, which led to full-scale development.• Trained other engineers and dyno technicians in the EDU testing process including the instrumentation of the first DMD demo vehicle.• Aided with the conversion of an ICE dyno to a 150kW IPM EDU dyno including instrumentation, hardware, wiring, and commissioning.• Managed 2 EDU dynos including scheduling the work on these dynos, managed the dyno operator schedules when needed, wrote the test plans, wrote the test scripts, managed the data acquisition and post processing, as well as debugged any issues.
