The Tribal Researchers' Cancer Control Fellowship Program requires the completion of a capstone project. This final project is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your competence in cancer prevention research design and implementation.

Individual research based projects that includes skill development like webinars and training sessions, routine checkins with program leaders and professionals, and mentorship with USDA Office of Tribal Relations. My specific research topic is an ethnographic approach to mining occupation in Arizona, highlighting the lived experiences and generational trauma of communities affected by big business. Ultimately the goal of this project is to further expand Indigenous Knowledge and give voice to people of my and other respective communities.

Denoted as the AZ REACH program, responsibilities include interpreting and executing transfer requests for patients from rural or Indigenous communities. We closely work with doctors and nurses for reports, which is necessary to determine the equipment and services required for a safe and smooth patient transfer. We coordinate between hospitals and healthcare teams and ultimately serve 28 locations, namely critical access hospitals, IHS (Indian Health Services), PL-639 hospitals, and locations with 20 or fewer bed capacities all across AZ. Our goal is to get providers in these communities back to the bedside.

A program offered to individuals who come from underserved communities and are actively trying to implement ways to support their unique homes through a public health lens. It is a curriculum and apprenticeship based opportunity to learn the ins and outs of working as a public health educator and how to effectively implement beneficial community outreach programs.

Maintaining the integrity and completion of Phase 1 Clinical Trials and upholding the standards of the study protocol in its entirety. Consistently did safety procedures like vital signs, EKGS, phlebotomy/blood processing, urinalysis, and blood glucose. Ultimately ensuring the safety of study participants in first in human trials. Certified Clinical Floor Trainer noted as key accomplishment with previous accolades.

Managed open group discussions and facilitated active learning in open cadaver labs. Collaborated with lab coordinators and graduate students in evaluating research/knowledge in curriculum. Engaged in active learning techniques while maintaining a presence in all aspects of undergraduate learning (labs, lecture, review sessions, exams etc).

I was responsible for all academic development of 5 middle school students at Animo Westside Charter Middle School. This was done by influencing the growth of the already existing student base to aid in developing strong mathematical skills. While fostering relationships with teachers and families I was also responsible for organizing and curating resources for high school and secondary education pathways for students and parents/guardians.
