As a Mechanic/Federal Technician, I service and repair multiple military vehicle systems including both Wheeled and Track Vehicles on a daily basis ranging from electronic systems trouble shooting to replacement of major vehicle system components.

Operate weapons and equipment in ground combat operations. Duties include operating and maintaining weapons, such as rifles, machine guns, mortars, and hand grenades; locating, constructing, and camouflaging infantry positions and equipment; evaluating/navigating terrain and recording topographical information; operating and maintaining field communications equipment; assessing need for and directing supporting fire; placing explosives and performing mine sweeping activities on land, participating in basic reconnaissance operations; and operating RAVEN DDL SUAVS to provide real time aerial surveillance.

Served as Unit Armorer for a Light Infantry Company supporting over 130 Soldiers; coordinates with leadership to ensure support for deployment and redeployment operations; responsible for the accountability and maintenance of over $7 million worth of Property Book equipment and weapons; instructs Soldiers on proper care and maintenance of all assigned small-arms; maintains hand-receipts for equipment issued locally and while deployed; calibrates, zeros, and performs user maintenance of small-arms; identifies failures and arranges higher level maintenance.
