As Controller I am responsible for the safeguarding and maintenance of all finance, accounting, and reporting services. This includes all financial analysis, budget tracking, month-end closings, and audit and 990 preparation. I am also responsible for the management of accounting staff and to make sure information is recorded accurately and timely while adhering to internal control policies. Using the Lean Canvas model review existing and new program concepts and create financial and pricing models for board of director review.

As CEO I am responsible for strategic direction, managing operations, sourcing funding, and serve as the public face of the company.

Consulting with Kansas City area non-profit organizations to help them improve their accounting efficiencies and manage their internal control structures. Depending on client needs, I also assist in KPI monitoring, budget development and product price modeling. I also prepare and review financial statements and annual 990 tax filings.

As a member of the executive team I was involved in building the overall strategic direction of TiPEVO as well as assisting in executing this vision and contribute where and when necessary to help drive KPI’s. Responsible for Strategy, Implementation, Management and Production for the following areas of TiPEVO’s business: Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Legal and Compliance, Customer Support, Partnership Activation, Manage Corporate Governance and Investor Relations. TiPEVO closed and its patent and systems have been transfered to Inflouence Sports.

Responsibilities included providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the staff directors, CEO, and the Board in performing their responsibilities. Developed, implemented and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decisions affecting the organization. Created the first charter and implemented the organization's first Audit and Budget committee. In addition to financial responsibilities, human resources, information technology, and the Foundation all fall under the direction of the CFO. Using past experiences, developed the company's first intake process for new employees and re-wrote the personnel policy manual. Currently acting as the project manager for a database conversion of the organization's membership management system to the Salesforce based Fonteva MemberNation product. The Foundation has grown about 50% over the past 3 years with improvements to the online donation process and awareness campaigns.

The Chief Financial Officer is a member of the senior management team and provides overall leadership for the Finance and Administration Department as well as contracted business partners. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for directional planning, implementation, evaluation and analysis of the Company’s financial and technical functions. This individual works closely with all Program Directors to develop plans consistent with the strategic goals, priorities and financial parameters of the Company. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for executive matters of the Company, particularly those with implications on finances, internal policies, information technology and board relationships, or institutional strategy; oversees management of human resources, accounting, treasury, and building maintenance.
