CurrentMy responsibilities include evaluating students ages 5-20 who have difficulties learning, especially basic skills such as reading, writing, comprehension, and mathematics. The information I collect, including current academic achievement, academic history, health history, provides the information to create a plan of instruction to help the student achieve academically. I consult with parents on the child's abilities and disabilities, suggest resources and educational placements, provide information to deal with schools, and give advice on handling academic problems and disabilities at home. I provide other professionals with reports regarding our findings and the results of our work with students. I am available to attend meetings with educators and other to resolve issues or plan for instruction.I meet prospective instructors, make hiring decisions, train and supervise training in the Potentials method, and oversee 8 locations where students receive instruction one-on-one.
