I am the Creator and Producer of the Community Affairs Emmy winning documentary State of the Classroom (stateoftheclassroom.com). The documentary investigates the environments outside of the classroom in which Hoosier students live. I worked with the department's Director of IT and the Indiana Office of Technology to plan and implement a complete technological and systems security overhaul of the IDOE's data management and storage applications and hardware. This major investment in the state's education data systems was completed within the strict budget constraints set by the Indiana General Assembly.Together, the Director of IT (IDOE) and I worked to develop a public-private partnership to develop and launch a unique mobile app, INschool, and an innovative statewide data management tool, InMySchool. The project is designed to improve access for parents and educators to important student data, and advance the data management and reporting systems for schools, school districts and the state. With guidance from the Superintendent, I worked with State Legislators to establish and fund a scholarship for post-9/11 veterans who wished to become educators, Second Service.

Developed and executed successful fundraising programs designed to support the organization's operations in India and tsunami relief efforts in the state of Andhra Pradesh. I worked with the faculty and staff of Brown University and Tufts University to develop an HIV-AIDS testing and treatment program for children and expecting mothers. I worked with the organization's leadership to secure over $70,000 to construct and equip a facility on the outskirts of Vijayawada to provide care and support for children with HIV-AIDS.In 2005, the organization organized numerous tsunami relief programs throughout the central coast of Andhra Pradesh. To support the organization's efforts, I worked with our US donors to raise nearly $100,000 in aide, documented (video) the organization's work in the field, and participated in a number of support projects in small coastal villages.In an effort to modernize the organization's data management and collection efforts, I worked with a small team of developers to create and implement an interactive website that give supports an opportunity to engage in projects and receive updates about the children they sponsored. The data project also created, for the first time, academic transcripts for all 5,000+ students.
