I am the Senior Creative Media Manager for the University of Minnesota Athletic Department. In this role, I lead all creative media production for the Gophers by overseeing full-time, intern, and student creative personnel, managing all creative projects coming through the department, assisting in the production and delivery of creative pieces, assisting our social media manager with digital distribution, and ideating as a creative director for video production.

I have spent more than a decade doing freelance production for a number clients, both in sports and non-sports capacities. I've worked as a ENG camera operator for ESPN and Fox Sports Midwest, on events such as Nebraska Football, Nebraska Basketball, and the College World Series. I worked as technical director and replay operator for the City of Lincoln (Neb.), the Lincoln Saltdogs and many more. I've also worked as a production assistant for ESPN, ABC Sports, and Turner Sports on both single day live games such as the Big 12 Football Championship as well as large scale events like the Summer X-Games. My goal is to do whatever it takes to meet and exceed my client's goals using my extensive experience working with some of the biggest names in mass media.

I won multiple national awards for my work as a producer on Big Ten Network's original feature documentaries and series, directing and producing long-form work for The B1G Story documentary series, as well as producing on our docu-series The Journey: Big Ten Football, The Journey: Big Ten Basketball, At The Net: Big Ten Volleyball, and Campus Eats. I also shot, edited and produced other cinematic content at the network for distribution on both linear television and digital/social channels, bringing the best stories of the Big Ten Conference and its member institutions to fans and alumni across the country in whatever format reached them best.In my role as a producer, I owned a story from start to finish. I generated and researched story ideas, handled the logistics of shoots, hired and supervised technical crews on-location, field produced, conducted interviews with athletes and coaches, rough edited features, and worked with our full-time and freelance editors to supervise the final cut of features.

As Senior Producer for the University of Minnesota athletic department, I assisted in the management of day-to-day digital production for all 25 Golden Gopher varsity sports and other various administrative projects.I acted as the social liaison between our production unit and the athletic department social media manager, which meant brainstorming and collaborating on many Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat executions. I was the executive producer of the first Facebook Live coaches show series in all of college athletics, "Sunday Night Overtime with Tracy Claeys."​ On this show, we aired live to Facebook every Sunday night during the football season, taking viewer questions and engaging with our fan base. A month after our debut, Facebook‘s Nick Marquez said that our Facebook Live coaches show was “The best I’ve seen yet.”As a post-production content creator, I served as executive producer for our behind-the-scenes cinematic feature series "Brick By Brick: Gopher Football,"​ "Pride On Ice: Gopher Hockey,"​ "Raise The Barn: Gopher Men's Basketball,"​ and "​Gopher Football: In The Trenches."​ I was a live event producer for our Women's Basketball in-house show and assisted on game day production for football, basketball, hockey and many other olympic sports.I also helped supervise our 20+ student production assistants to ensure completion of video projects and complete staffing of events and shoots.

Elon, North Carolina

At Elon University, I led all creative video production services for the athletic department. I produced highlights, interviews and features for our 16 varsity sports. These packages were used on our in-venue screens, our website, and for other internal and external purposes. I managed the personnel budget and scheduling for a team of 4-6 student workers that I supervised.In this role, I was also a member of the external relations team that met weekly to determine the direction of branding, messaging and other communications that would come from the athletic department.

Bristol, Connecticut

I was a production assistant for games and events that aired on the ESPN family of networks. I assisted in pre-production for College Basketball, NBA Draft, and X-Games. I worked the NBA Draft live as an assistant editor, where I helped put together the roll out. I prepared supplies and features for use on-site, using both linear and digital editing. I also assisted with concept creation of story lines for games and events that aired on national television.

Lincoln, Nebraska

At Nebraska, I worked at HuskerVision, the in-house athletic department production unit, where I shot high-definition video for 17 varsity sports. I also worked in a control room setting for studio-based coaches' shows, running media playback and CG. I assisted in coordinating student staffing for baseball and softball live event web streaming. A piece I produced for the football big-screen production was named 2008 HuskerVision Special Feature of the Year.

Lincoln, Nebraska

I worked remote live productions of local high school football, basketball and softball games, as well as Nebraska Wesleyan University football and basketball games for the city-owned station Channel 21 Sports. I also worked for 5 City TV shooting government events such as city planning meetings, city council meetings and county commissioner meetings.I covered many different roles, including camera operator, audio operator, graphics operator, director, and stage manager.

Bristol, Connecticut

During the fall semester of 2008, I completed a 10 week internship at ESPN, doing studio camera work. I worked 40 hours a week and did the same work that was expected of a full-time employee, such as running a studio camera for nationally televised shows like SportsCenter, NFL Live, Baseball Tonight, and Outside the Lines. I also took initiative to observe other areas of studio production, including jib operation, steadicam operation, directing, media playback, graphic creation and production writing.

Lincoln, Nebraska

I created content for the big-screen production that aired in-game for the Lincoln Saltdogs professional baseball team. I pre-produced headshots, advertisments, videos, graphics and themed production elements for promotions. I also assisted in brainstorming and creation of themed promotional nights. I oversaw scheduling from a 30 person freelancer list for over 40 home games. During the games, I served as the game producer, running an eight-member video production staff each game, updating staff about upcoming production elements, and seeing that all reads, promotions and advertisements were completed as contractually obligated.
