I am a three-time Regional Emmy-winning digital storyteller with over a decade of experience in creative multimedia across multiple distribution channels.In my career I‘ve worked with some of the biggest names in sports television including BTN, ESPN, and Fox Sports. I’ve also worked for three NCAA Division I athletic departments, including the University of Nebraska and the University of Minnesota. My content has attracted sponsorship contracts in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, has earned millions of social and linear impressions, and vied for multiple major national awards.According to StrengthsFinder, my leading skills are a broad mix of relationship building, influencing and executing, with my top five strengths being Positivity, Connectedness, Arranger, Maximizer and Developer. I find this to be a great reflection of how I look at my role in an organization. I love to help lead and develop people even when I'm not specifically in a leadership role. Having supervised dozens of employees over the course of my career, nothing is more rewarding than pouring my experience into someone as they cultivate their skills and being able to watch them improve over time. I relish the opportunity to help people become better content creators and grow their ability to tell the incredible stories that exist in our world.Beyond building relationships, I jump at the chance to look at the challenges of an organization like a puzzle and find how I can best make the pieces fit together. I consistently look for better ways to collaborate across departments to maximize time, money, and resources for my employers. An example of this would be University of Minnesota's Ski-U-Mah magazine. Originally just a print magazine, I suggested that we create a website where we would take the print stories and add video and multimedia features to accompany them. These videos were eventually spun off into a sponsored series that brought in more than $250,000 for Gopher Athletics.In short, I’m passionate about stories, content, and helping grow teams of people to become the best they can be.
