After working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting for three years, I was inspired by the drastic change in patient care as the clinic I worked at transitioned to virtual visits due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I quickly realized the inefficiencies in performing quality care to patients via virtual visits and decided there must be a better way. As a result, I made the decision to change careers and continue to chase my ongoing passion of helping people through the means of software engineering. After completing a 17 week immersive bootcamp, I am now a full stack developer specializing in Javascript and the NERDS stack with a special interest in front-end development and healthcare technologies.
