About Garrett Jacobs

As the son of a chef/party planner duo Garrett grew up around food and understands the importance of gathering people around the table. Receiving his education in post-Katrina New Orleans solidified his commitment to addressing inequality and oppression in the built environment. Garrett works collaboratively and authentically to identify and break down barriers within our systems and ourselves which keep us from seeing all people as equals. Garrett has a proven track record of large scale network design and management, organizational operations and project management for social change and racial justice. Garrett is a published researcher at the intersectional fields of justice transformation and architecture, and continues to investigate the impacts of our environments on our collective ability to heal as a society and community.
