As the Chief of Finance I manage all of the organizations financial matters from the annual budget to forecasting for the organization and its projects. I helped grow the annual budget from $500k to over $3.5mm. I oversee our accounting processes, cashflow projections, invoicing, tax filings and reporting. I lead on grant writing and proposal budgeting and manage our philanthropic giving portfolio. As Chief of Operations I collaboratively manage the development of internal systems with our team, assess staff time and project resource allocation while managing HR and Benefits development. I lead on proposal development and contracting, compliance and all necessary coverages to allow us to do the innovative work we do. I have the privilege of serving on a diverse team with many lived experiences and sectors of work. We are striving to establish an organization based on restorative justice principals to support one another in accomplishing the organizational mission. I am still able to facilitate, manage project work with the Pop-Up Village, and surround myself with amazing people working to change the narrative of what it means to collaborate for change.

In an effort to embrace equity I have shifted my role from Executive Director to Director of Operations and lead the organization in partnership with the Director of Programs. This role covers the tasks necessary to keep the organization compliant and financially on track, along with strategic visioning and supporting growth. It is a voluntary position.

The Open Architecture Collaborative is a global learning network to mobilize architects and designers for greater community impact. We are an international network of 22 volunteer chapters who serve their local nonprofit and community groups to help build capacity in marginalized communities. We are the bridge builders from the design community to the nonprofit community and we train designers how best to engage as allies. With a team of global leaders I facilitated a strategic repositioning and rebranding of this organization. Recruiting the initial Board of Directors and Advisory Council as well as the initial Regional Leaders was an initial task to set the newly designed governance structure into place. - Coordinated a national design competition for middle and high school students. Responsible for creating the rules, and content for the competition, as well as manage outreach during the beginning phases of the project.- Coauthor, research assistant, and graphic renderer for the Healthy Schools By Design Toolkit. In partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council, Architecture for Humanity is creating a resource for schools across the country to improve their facilities.
