The Bee Gees were "Stayin Alive" and Grease was being played on the big screen. Threes Company and Happy Days were the favorite sitcoms. Platform shoes were hot …the year was 1978. This is when Gary and Diann Allen decided St. Charles County needed an Allen's Tree Service, Inc! Gary and Diann Allen launched the business from their home in St. Charles, MO and grew it into the leading tree care service in St. Charles County with integrity and quality. It was quite a struggle in the beginning and they were not sure if they would make it past the 80s big hair era but their determination and pride would not allow them to fail. Allen's Tree Service, Inc is a family owned and operated company. Gary & his brother Jeff are the third generation in their family to follow in their father and grandfather's footsteps to continue working in the tree industry. Gary's father and grandfather both had a love for the tree industry so it makes sense why Gary loves it so much. He is also very proud that both his daughter and son are currently the fourth generation to continue in the family tradition with the company. Ashley is an ISA certified arborist and is currently enrolled at St. Louis Community College at Meramec to obtain a degree in horticulture. She is also Secretary and Treasurer for the St. Louis Arborist Association. Gary II is currently working with the tree crews and is eager to learn more.
