I joined Warrener Stewart in 2001 since it offered me the opportunity to work with owner managed businesses advising them on all aspects of their business. I head up the audit and accounts department, and it is my responsibility to oversee the quality control of our audit and accounts work. To ensure we stay abreast of any proposed changes to rules and regulations well in advance of their implementation dates I am an active member of the London Society of Chartered Accountants Audit and Accounting Technical Committee.

Joined KPMG in October 2000 as Audit Manager in the Owner Managed Business Department managing a portfolio of 30 audit clients including E-commerce businesses, oil exploration (Oil Industry SORP), entertainment industry clients, partnerships, telecoms, and UK subsidiaries of European/Global groups (including subsidiaries of listed clients).During my time at KPMG I developed an understanding of auditing and reporting requirements in other European countries and advising clients of implications, since I was responsible for complex consolidation of significant European group.

Commenced my accountancy training with Hays Allan and qualified with first time passes in December 1993. Promoted to Assistant Audit Manager in December 1994 and to Audit Manager in May 1995.During my ten years I looked after a portfolio of 70 clients alongside taking responsibility for recruiting and training all audit trainees and developing the content for the firm's annual Audit Conference. I greatly enjoyed assisting new businesses start up and working with a variety of clients from housebuilders and property investment, manufacturing and service companies, leisure and entertainment businesses through to ABTA/ATOL regulated travel companies.
