Truck Shop Foreman
CurrentSince my transfer to the Pikeville, Kentucky location I had been more involved with the companies dispatch and routing along with Logistics and sales.Since April of this year, I have been in charge of our Truck Shop where I am over see the Maintenance and up-keep of our Vehicle Fleet, consisting of approximately 70 units, ranging from light duty pick-ups to our over the road Tractor/Tankers and Tandems, and Flat beds and Lowboys. We have our own Fabrication/Welding shop where we are beginning to do most of our own repairs in house. I also schedule the State and Federal DOT inspections of the Units. I oversee 4 full-time Mechanics which keep our repair shop open around the clock. I am responsible for the acquisition of all parts needed to perform Preventative Maintenance and repairs on all the companies Trucks and Equipment.I write up all the work orders for all units and enter all the finished work-orders into a software program called Truck Tracker. I can then compile reports on the costs associated with each unit. We have our own road service that I am the dispatcher for and I meet with the Mechanics and Drivers to discuss any issues that they may have with the units and/or Maintenance that may need to be done. I am in charge of all the Fleets Tire usage and acquisition.
