Responsibilities included basic police duties, such as, responding to calls for service, report writing, investigation, crime scene security, patrol responsibilities, supervision of all department personnel, scheduling of personnel, budget preparation, criminal statistics reporting, to name a few. During my employment I was responsible for creating a policies and procedures manual, an emergency response manual, plus many other operating procedures. I was also responsible for all state required training for all officers in the department. I did hold a license as a firearms instructor, a certified instructor (training recruits) and a defensive driving instructor.
